On July 10th, the National Council for Pedagogical Innovation in Higher Education (CNIPES) participated in the National Congress of Pedagogical Practices in Higher Education (CNaPPES26), at the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave, with the round table “Pedagogical Innovation in Networks: the contribution of consortia to the transformation of higher education”.

Moderated by Professor Patrícia Rosado Pinto, President of CNIPES, the session brought together representatives from the seven Centers of Excellence for Pedagogical Innovation: Cristina Albuquerque, Maria João Silva, André Graça, João Couvaneiro, Ana Teresa Oliveira, Sónia Valente Rodrigues, and Joana Cruz, who shared experiences, best practices, and reflections on the impact of networking on the transformation of higher education.

Through a dynamic focused on valuing pedagogical innovation and inter-institutional cooperation, it became evident that building a culture of innovation based on collaboration is one of the main drivers for responding to the present and future challenges of higher education in Portugal.

Since its creation in 2014, CNaPPES has established itself as an annual landmark meeting for teachers and researchers from both public and private university and polytechnic education. The event provides a privileged space to share, question, and disseminate good pedagogical practices and experiences from different regions of the country and scientific fields.
