PPSMES | Evolution, Challenges and Continuity

The Institute for Higher Education, IP is promoting the session “National Program for the Promotion of Mental Health in Higher Education: Evolution, Challenges and Continuity”, which will take place on May 11, 2026, between 10:00 am and 1:00 pm, at the Thalia Theatre, in Lisbon.

This initiative marks the conclusion of the implementation cycle and the continuation of the 2024–2026 Program, constituting a moment for public review of the main results achieved and the evolution of institutional responses in the area of mental health in higher education.

Throughout this period, there has been a significant strengthening of the institutions' intervention capacities, the consolidation of good practices, and the increasing adoption of more integrated and evidence-based models, contributing to a more structured and consistent approach to promoting academic well-being.

The session also aims to provide an opportunity for reflection on future challenges and the conditions necessary for the continuity and eventual expansion of the Program.
