On July 10th, the Institute for Higher Education (IES, IP) participated in the 4th National Meeting of Accreditation Teams (ENEA), at the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal (IPS).
Under the theme "Institutional Evaluation: building stronger higher education institutions," the meeting was attended by 45 public and private higher education institutions and included presentations by two international experts: Aleksandar Susnjar, Secretary-General of EQAR – The European Quality Assurance Register for Higher Education, and Jürgen Petersen, Director-General of AQ Austria, the Austrian Accreditation and Quality Assurance Agency.
The President of the Board of Directors of IES, Joaquim Mourato, opened the session by highlighting the profound transformations currently underway in higher education. Underlining that these changes will bring great challenges for all institutions, he emphasized the enormous relevance of these meetings for professionals in the sector, as they foster synergies and drive continuous improvement in this area.
Continuing the work developed in previous editions by the universities of Minho, Porto and Lisbon, this fourth edition of ENEA strengthened cooperation between Portuguese higher education institutions with the aim of promoting quality and continuous improvement.
