The IES, IP, through the Erasmus+ Education and Training Program, participated in the FOR.UE.PT Annual Meeting, held on September 22nd at the Higher Institute of Accounting and Administration (ISCA), University of Aveiro (UA).
The opening session featured a welcome address by the Rector of the University of Aveiro, Artur Silva, who moderated the first panel discussion dedicated to the future and sustainability of European alliances, with the remote participation of the Secretary of State for Higher Education, Cláudia Sarrico. Throughout the morning, student representation was also in focus in a panel led by the Vice-Rector of the Polytechnic University of Cávado and Ave, Paula Cristina Tavares, with an intervention by Daniel Aragão, representing the Academic Forum for Information and External Representation (FAIRe).
The afternoon session highlighted the international projection of Portuguese higher education, chaired by the Vice-President of the Board of Directors of IES, IP, Cristina Perdigão. The panel included Otília Reis, Executive Director of the Fulbright Commission Portugal, and provided a space for discussion on international cooperation, focusing on relations with institutions in the United States of America and the role of alliances as a driver of global mobility and cooperation.
The presence of IES, IP at this forum reinforces its close support for Portuguese institutions integrated into European alliances, fostering the sharing of experiences and the internationalization of higher education.
